Spaghetti Sauce to Eat and Put Up

Spaghetti Sauce Pintz

Yields: 12 Pints plus dinner :)

Saute, in grape seed or olive oil:

  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced

Add 2 pounds ground sirloin. Drain.


  • 4 cans (58-60 ounces total) diced tomatoes
  • 4 cans (58-60 ounces total) tomato sauce
  • 48 ounces tomato paste
  • 56 ounces water (7 cups)
  • 8 Bay Leaves
  • 4 Tablespoons Dried Basil
  • 1/4 cup Dried Italian Seasoning
  • 1/8 cup (8 Tablespoons) Granulated Garlic Powder
  • 4 teaspoons coarse sea salt
  • 4 teaspoons restaurant ground black pepper

Simmer for 2-3 hours, on low heat.

Serve over one pound angel hair pasta, cooked.

Put up left-overs into 12+ pints and freeze.
